what is success?

Success is the accomplishment of an aim or purpose. The criteria for success depend on context, and may be relative to a particular observer or belief system. Therefore, everyone will have a unique definition of what it is to be successful. The key secret to success is consistency: Doing certain things every day that help move you forward in achieving your goals, which leads to the realization of your dreams. Many self-made millionaires create consistency by adopting daily habits that are tied to their goals and dreams.

10 tips to your success

  1. Focus – by focusing you can achieve anything, when you allow yourself to be distracted all the time and don’t have a clear, singular goal, you’ll waste a lot of precious time, and time is your most limited and important resource. You can always earn more money, but you can’t earn more time. The power of Focusing is the cure to our procrastination, lack of direction, and productivity. By applying your focus you can overcome the things that keep you from achieving your objectives and become the best version of yourself. It all starts with a focused mind.

2. Take Risks– Risk is, in fact, a neutral concept. Whether it’s thought of as positive or negative that depends on the person doing the thinking. One thing is certain: in order to achieve our goals, we need to take risks. When we recognize the need for change, we calculate the potential loss the change will create compared to the potential gain. We risk nothing in making that comparison. We take a risk only when we make a move. The calculated assessment is this: What will I give up to gain something better? When we ask ourselves, What’s the worst that could happen?, we are assessing risk. Taking risks can change you fundamentally. They make you braver, stronger, and more confident. They show that you have what it takes to make a decision, commit, and create the life you want. You build faith in yourself knowing you have done it before and can do it again.

3. Keep Learning-Continuous learning is the key to success. Learning opens our mind and eyes to understand and see the bigger picture. Continuous learning helps you improve your way of living and vision, so you will get more experience each day. Learning also keeps your mind engaged and body active. It helps you get new and knowledge-based perspectives on the world around you, gain new experiences, trains your brain to handle a wide range of challenges, and keeps your neural pathways active. Learning new skill sets is important for an individual’s competitiveness and employability, but also enhances social inclusion, cognitive skills and personal development.

4. Be Passionate & Do what you LOVE– Being happy at work and loving what you do is an overall productivity booster and enhances performance. People who enjoy their jobs are more likely to be optimistic, motivated, learn faster, make fewer mistakes, and better business decisions.  Doing so is very valuable to your life in many ways, including greatly increasing your probability of financial success. “A job that you love … gives you extra motivation to meet your goals, and when you do, the sense of accomplishment is outstanding”! You will carry and radiate that success wherever you go, helping yourself in other aspects of your life.

Therefore, the benefits of setting goals include greater direction, increased productivity, and higher levels of motivation. Negative Capability is when one is capable of being in uncertainties, mysteries or doubts without any irritable reaching after fact and reason. The imperative of negative capability isn’t about being indecisive or making blurry arguments, it’s about cultivating empathy. People do their best work when they learn to step outside themselves. Despite its name, negative capability is not harmful. It is only negative because its opposition to false dichotomies, fixed mindsets, and complete confidence in your thoughts. It is about resisting quick explanations, sitting with our doubts, and questioning our assumptions. Not only can it lead to better creativity, but negative capability can also help us become more curious and humble. Negative capability goes hand in hand with continuous learning, discouraging arrogance and encouraging personal growth.
